winter term, weeks 1 + 2

So like I said last week, the cold has made me lazy, so here are the few new outfits I've come up with in the past two weeks. It did get warmer last week, so I made slightly more effort, but due to lots of work and frisbee tryouts, I haven't really had enough energy to be creative. -.-' Hopefully this will improve.

My first outfit with my new boots! I've been pining for flat suede boots for a ridiculously long time, and over winter break I achieved my goal of finally acquiring them. They are awesome. :)

Winter gear! I wear the jacket pretty much every day, so when I'm outside all people really see is a green puffball, jeans, and boots.

 

Earrings my mother made! I'm also quite proud of myself for having braided my hair myself, because up until now I haven't been able to do a single braid [though I can do pigtails perfectly fine, even French braids], and I finally managed to do it without my arms getting too tired. :D

So somehow none of my actual snowboots have shown up in these photos, even though they are colorful and I have several pairs. Hopefully they will soon, because I like them. I also like the boots that have shown up, though, so it's all good. I am a big fan of boots. :)

I'll have to see how the next week or two turn out to figure out when I want to post next; my schedule and recent tendencies seem to point to another double-post in two weeks, so sorry to any eager readers. Somehow this blog is not so easy to keep up this term. :/

winter break goofs

So it's been a week since I got back to school, but the combination of negative-degree weather and 8:15/8:30 classes every day have made me lazy, so I think I'll combine this week's new outfits with next week's. Until then, here are some goofy pictures from winter break. Apparently I stick my tongue out as I start taking pictures, and when I don't have glasses or contacts in, it appears that I scrunch up my face in an extremely non-flattering way.

winter break, part 2

The second half of winter break was much more exciting: holiday shopping, seeing friends, Christmas, New Year's - basically lots more opportunities to stop being a pajama bum and actually get dressed! Here are the results:

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And yes, I do realize I wore the same shirt in essentially the same outfit in a relatively close chronology together, but it's just so cute! I also feel like pointing out that these pictures include my first ever pair of skinny jeans, which I mostly bought for the sake of wearing boots.
